Major thanks to Jli and Rain who got most, if not all of the data listed on the pastebin. From here, the wiki is embracing it and will update it as time goes. All the testing procedures are documented, if you wish to do some tests, go ahead (especially if you have Chaos and Elementals).
If you're here, chances are you were linked to here by one of the numerous pages that feature stats. Well here is our database of statistics. I will also answer some questions that you may be wondering.
Why don't we just look into the game code and grab stats directly from there?
This was considered, but the way the values are done is convoluted. For example (pulling real number values), how do you compare a bomber's "5" explosive damage with a swordwrath's "19" damage? Especially since that is not the case in game, as we all know. Therefore the decision was made to use relative stats from tests for comparative value.
Why are some values bolded and some are not?
Bolded values mean the value is verified through testing. Some values are just guesswork that will eventually be replaced with verified numbers.
Why do we (currently) not have Chaos and Elemental stats?
Tests haven't been done. Also keep note that these are not freemium empires. Eventually these will be documented.
Won't tests become outdated as buffs and nerfs appear?
Yep, they will. So I guess we'll eventually have to redo tests that involved buffed or nerfed units with the value.
I declare this thread to be the hub of statistical information, so if you have anything to contribute, here is the place.
Hey jil, since the unupgraded giant has 7 bars of health and you count damage as how many hits it takes to kill the giant, maybe you could add a calculation that says how much percent of a bar a single hit takes out. (just divide the number of hits by 7 to get x, then divide 100 by x. Hope this helps.)
In theory, that's good, but in practice, every unit has a DIFFERENT "size" health bar. e.g. A lightning can barely take 6 hits from an archer, a wing can take more. Archers and bombers have vastly different health. And so on.
I think a more accurate way of measuring health though could be comparing how many hits by a swordwrath.
No, this is a measure of how much a single hit from a unit would damage. I think when you mean bar of health, you mean the unit's total health, while I mean the number of segments a health bar is split up into. For example, a sword would have 2, a crawler would have 1, a spearton has 6, ect.
A hit from a swordwrath would take out 20.37% of a segment of health, not 20.37% of the whole thing. BTW, I made a mistake about the giant health thing, it is actually 11 segments of health, not 7.
Somewhat related question, but I'm not sure if meric healing is slowed by armour. Sometimes it just feels as though unarmoured units like Archidons are healed faster than armoured units like Speartons.
Great job. If I can catch you DAZ, in the irc, while we have some free time, I may give you my account with a temp password and we can run through some Elemental and Chaos tests to get some stats on them as well. - My machine is laggy so timings might be off if I tried to do them clientside.
It'd be most logical to use the exact numerical values, then for explosive damage use the comparitive data gathered to find the approximate ratio of damage per explosive damage, if that makes any sense.
